This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process when you use Runpire (the "App", "we"), why we process it, and the rights you have. By using the App, you agree to the processing described here.

1. Data We Process

a) Account information

Through Sign in with Apple (required) or Google Sign-In (optional): your name/display name, email address and (if any) profile photo. Also your language preference and an automatically assigned profile color.

b) Location data

Your GPS route during a run (latitude, longitude, timestamp, speed, altitude). Because a run can be tracked while the app is in the background, we request "Always" location permission. Location is the core game mechanic: your route is used to capture territory on the map.

c) Motion and sensor data

Accelerometer data, used only for cheat/anomaly detection (anti-cheat) and run validation.

d) Run and activity data

Distance, speed, duration, Points earned, captured territories, route, run mode, your ratings, notes and tags.

e) Runner profile preferences

Preferences you provide to personalize your experience, such as weekly goal, motivation, experience level and preferred run mode.

f) Social content

Your posts, comments, likes, follow relationships, users you block and reports you submit.

g) Derived location (neighborhood)

An approximate neighborhood/area name is derived from your coordinates for leaderboards and stats.

h) Device and notification data
